At the Corner
It was a challenge sketching a home for standard families with two children in a block of flats. It was a cornered piece land, and the owners did not want studios or lofts. We split the building layout into two objects connected by a balcony that opens onto the courtyard. On the ground floor, we designed three front gardens with flats and also a joint garden where the most precious vegetation is kept. Due to the building’s waterproofing standards and window depth, we designed a steel railing that sticks out and corresponds with the house’s fencing.
