Renovation of an apartment block

The house from the thirties with seven individual units had one major disadvantage having flats on higher floors. Their occupants did live in a house with a garden but couldn´t get to the fresh air any other way but via a long communal staircase. We helped solve this drawback with large, discretely roofed terraces. Part of the terrace floor is a mixture of Plexiglass and wooden boards to ensure the flats below don´t miss out on any natural light. Our patent is a technical attraction - a unique system of ventilation shafts using half a kilometre of channels rooted under the new insulation, compensating for the absence of correct drainage of the original foundations and preventing rising damp and mould, which neighbouring insulated houses have to deal with.
